Our financial advice process

At Infocus, we are passionate about giving you freedom and choice when it comes to your finances and your life. Take a look at our simple five-step advice process to see how we work with you.

Step 1: Finding your freedom

We aim to develop a lifelong relationship with you. It all starts with taking the time to get to know you. In your initial meeting, transparency and honesty is key to setting the foundations of a successful relationship, because we genuinely have your best interests at heart. We will ask about things like your goals and your current financial status so we can tailor advice for you, no matter where you are on your financial journey. We also understand how busy life can be, so our Infocus Financial Advisers are happy to come to your office or home.

Step 2: Tailor a strategy

We understand your uniquely different wants and needs. That’s why our experienced Financial Advisers take the time to work with you to discuss the options and investment strategies that will best meet your needs. This enables your Infocus Financial Adviser to create a plan tailored specifically for you.

Step 3: Present our recommendations

From here, we prepare a Statement of Advice (SoA) for you to review at our next meeting. This outlines everything we have come to learn about you, and your goals and expectations. The SoA also explains our recommendations and sets out how your Infocus Financial Adviser will put your strategy into action. This is an opportunity for you to discuss the strategy in detail, to make sure you understand it clearly and are comfortable to proceed on the path to financial freedom.

Step 4: Get the ball rolling

We want you to achieve what’s important to you. So, with your permission, we get things moving and begin to shape your financial future in real time. It’s time for you to sit back and relax!

Step 5: Check-Ins

Infocus Financial Advisers are insightful and experienced, and understand that personal and financial circumstances can change over time. That’s why we check in with you regularly. Our ongoing review process enables us to track the progress of your strategy every six to 12 months and update or review your plan with you as required.
